Registration
- By registering with datingdoubles on the Website, those submitting a Registration Form, which is then approved by datingdoubles, shall become Members to the Website in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. By completing the Registration Form and sending this to datingdoubles by clicking on the signing-up button on the Registration Form, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms and Conditions.
- datingdoubles will not accept applications for Registration from persons under the age of 18 years, or anyone who has a police record of any offence relating to assault, violence, sexual misconduct or harassment. By registering with datingdoubles, the Member warrants that they have the right, authority and capacity to enter into and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- datingdoubles reserves the right to refuse any applications for membership at its own discretion, and no one shall become a Member until they receive email confirmation from datingdoubles that their application for Membership has been accepted. Once an individual receives notification by email from datingdoubles that their application for Membership has been successful, they shall become a 'Member' and shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions. The notification of Membership shall include the provision of a Member's username and password, which shall become their login details for the purposes of the logging on to the Website. The Member agrees to keep such login details secure and not to disclose their log in details to any other third party or Member.
Membership
- It is the Member's responsibility to ensure that all contact and payment information about them provided to datingdoubles is correct, up to date and not misleading.
- datingdoubles is not an adviser, counselor or marriage broker, and does not provide relationship counseling services. datingdoubles shall not be responsible for any counseling services or advice obtained through their use, or due to their use, of the Website.
- datingdoubles reserves the right to monitor Member registrations and to terminate such Membership if a Member has used the Website for unsuitable or inappropriate means or has behaved in an unsuitable manner, at its' own discretion.
- Any meetings between Members to the Website are completely at the risk of those Members. Members agree to meetings entirely at their own risk and datingdoubles cannot be responsible for the arrangements for such meetings or the actions of other Members at those meetings in any way.
- datingdoubles does not verify the accuracy or truth of any information published by Members and datingdoubles shall not be liable for any inaccuracies or untruths told by Members to the Website. datingdoubles is not responsible for any dissatisfaction of Members with the matching system, or for any dissatisfaction with any meetings arranged which are completely at the Member's own risk.
- Members must notify datingdoubles immediately of any apparent breach of security such as misuse or unauthorised disclosure or use of their username or password.
- Members will not breach any applicable law, regulation or code of conduct in connection with the services of datingdoubles and agrees to abide by relevant laws and regulations in relation to their use of the Website. This includes, but is not limited to, obeyance of the laws of decency and privacy, as well as laws relating to defamation, libel or slander. Members also warrant that the information they provide on the Website is accurate and not false or fraudulent in any way.
- datingdoubles undertakes not to reveal through the Website any information that would enable a Member to be personally identified or contacted other than through the Website. This includes, but is not limited to, keeping contact details such as telephone numbers and email addresses of other Members safe and secure if such information is passed between Members.
- Both datingdoubles and the Member agrees not to publish or forward any information to link to any third party sites which are illegal or contain inappropriate content.
- The Member will not use the Website for any commercial or professional purposes including advertising, trading, canvassing, soliciting, prostitution.
- The Member will not use the Website for junk mail, spam, pyramid or any fraudulent schemes, nor do anything that would disrupt the services of the Website, including the introduction of worms, viruses, software bombs or mass mailings and shall abide by the Terms of Use Policy for the Website.
- The Member will not use the Website for any other purposes than those set out in these Terms and Conditions or any document or policy referred to herein.
- The Member agrees to comply with any guidelines or requirements on the Website as well as any reasonable request or instructions by datingdoubles in connection with the Website which may be notified to the Member from time to time.
- The Member agrees to notify datingdoubles immediately in writing of any inappropriate behaviour the Member discovers in connection with the Website or as a result of using the Website for datingdoubles to take such action as it considers appropriate in its absolute discretion.
- datingdoubles is not liable for any misuse or misrepresentation of information uploaded onto the Website by other Members.
- datingdoubles reserves the right to refuse or suspend Membership, and or remove from the Website all or part of any profile, personal advertisment or any other Member content for any reason.
Function
- In order to use the site properly, members must have the necessary hardware, software and reliable internet access, none of which is the responsibility of datingdoubles and is the entire responsibility of the Member.
- datingdoubles cannot guarantee that the doubledating services on the Website will be uninterrupted or will achieve particular results, or the integrity or security of data contained therein, except to use its reasonable endeavours to rectify faults if they do occur. datingdoubles operates the Website in line with the Terms of Use Policy.
Rights in the Website
- The trade marks, logos, graphics, images, photographs, text, software and all content used on or for the running of the Website are the intellectual property of datingdoubles or its authorised licensors. A Member only has the right to use the Website in accordance with the Terms of Use Policy and these Terms and Conditions and is strictly limited to access, download, print and reproduction of media for their own personal, private or non-commercial use only.
- The Website cannot be linked to another Website or be included in part or whole within another site without datingdoubles' explicit written consent.
- By registering on the Website, the Member grants to datingdoubles a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to copy, alter, adapt, translate, display, sub-licence or assign content uploaded onto the Website by the Member, whether such information is uploaded on or via the Website or otherwise through any distribution medium including electronic media (including email, SMS, MMS, WAP, Internet, CD Rom or DVD Rom) and audiovisual communications media (including press, radio, analogue tv, digital tv, cable or satellite).
Price and Payment
- The Member agrees to abide by the terms and conditions for payment of the Membership Fee (as displayed on the Website at the time of completing the Registration Form on the Website), in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- The Membership Fee detailed on the Website at the time of registering as a Member is valid for a period of six (6) months only. The Membership Fee becomes payable once the Registration process is complete in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and suitable matches have been identified and the Member wishes to proceed to arrange meetings with other Members. The Membership Fee is in pounds sterling and includes any applicable value added tax.
- Once payment of the Membership Fee becomes due and payable (notification of which shall be sent to you by email in accordance with Clause 26 of these Terms and Conditions), the Membership Fee shall be paid as follows:
- datingdoubles reserves the right to vary the Membership Fee from time to time before a contract is formed, notice of which will be placed on the Website;
- datingdoubles accepts [Visa and Mastercard] payments. datingdoubles uses PayPal service in connection with the collection of payments. Your credit card details are transmitted directly to PayPal's secure server which processes card transactions from the Website, having the same high standard as internet banking. Payment details are captured within PayPal's secure EPDQ infrastructure; and
- datingdoubles recognizes the Member's right to cancel any payment made to datingdoubles through the fraudulent use of a Member's credit card by a third party.
- If the Member is acting as a consumer, the Member has the right to cancel the contract with datingdoubles at any time within seven (7) working days, beginning on the date the Member requests the provision of the services to be provided by datingdoubles as set out on the Website and detailed in these Terms and Conditions, or at such time prior to the commencement of the services, whichever is the earlier ("cooling-off period"). If provision of the services have commenced, then the Member is not entitled to cancel the contract. If the Member cancels the contract within the cooling-off period, then datingdoubles shall provide a full refund of the Membership Fee to the Member in accordance with the refund policy set out below at Clause 29.
- To cancel this contract, the Member must inform datingdoubles in writing immediately. datingdoubles will usually refund any money received from the Member using the same method originally used by the Member to pay for the Membership Fee. datingdoubles will usually process the refund due to a Member as soon as possible, and in any case, within 30 days of the day datingdoubles receives notice of cancellation of the contract, or the day datingdoubles confirms to the Member that they are entitled to a refund of the Membership Fee, in accordance with this contract.
Termination
- Members may at any time terminate their Membership with datingdoubles within their six (6) month period of Membership. Unless a Member cancels their Membership in accordance with Clauses 28 and 29 of these Terms and Conditions within the cooling-off period, the Membership Fee shall not be refunded to a Member if they cancel their membership.
- datingdoubles may terminate (or suspend) the Membership of a Member immediately at any time if they are in breach of the terms of their contract with datingdoubles as set out in these Terms and Conditions. This includes, but is not limited to, suspension or termination due to a Member committing a material breach of the contract or if the Member is deemed to be potentially damaging to datingdoubles or other Members, as determined by datingdoubles in its absolute discretion.
- At the point of termination, datingdoubles agrees to remove all the Member's details from the Website immediately.
- If one party to a pair of Members wishes to terminate their Membership, then that terminating Member must give written notice to datingdoubles in accordance with Clause 30. If the remaining Member wishes to remain as a Member to the Website, then the remaining Member's profile shall remain on the Website as a 'pending' profile until such time as an additional Member can sign up to the Website to create a new pair of Members. At the time the new Member registers with the Website and becomes joined to the existing pending Member, the new Member shall be required to pay the Membership Fee at the appropriate time (as set out in Clause 26 above), however the existing pending Members shall not be required to pay an additional Membership Fee and shall have their Membership extended to the period of time covered by the new Member's Membership subscription as a 'new pair'.
- datingdoubles reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting revised Terms and Conditions on the Website.
Liability
datingdoubles shall operate the Website and provide the services set out on the Website with reasonable skill and care.
- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit datingdoubles' liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by its negligence (as such term is defined by the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977); (b) fraud; (c) misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter; or (d) any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
- Subject to the foregoing, datingdoubles will not be liable or responsible to you or any third person for any amount or kind of loss or damage that may result (including without limitation, any direct, indirect, punitive or consequential loss or damages, or any loss of income, profits, goodwill, data, contracts, use of money, or loss or damages arising from or connected in any way to business interruption of any type, and whether in tort (including without limitation negligence, contract or otherwise) in connection with the services offered by the Website or Website itself in any way or in connection with the use, inability to use or the results of use of this Website.
- Subject to the foregoing, datingdoubles' liability to you for any cause whatsoever, and regardless of the form of the action, will at all times be limited to the amount of Membership Fee paid, if any, by you to datingdoubles for the service offered on the Website during the term of a Member's Membership.
- By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, Members agree to fully and effectively indemnify datingdoubles against all third party claims, costs, losses and/or liabilities relating to this contract and a Member's usage of the Website or actions in relation to the Website.
Privacy
- Use of the Website and/or the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The personal information (including sensitive personal information) you provide to us will be stored on our computers and you consent to us using this information to build up a profile of interests, preferences and browsing patterns and to allow you to participate in the services, as set out in these Terms and Conditions and in the terms of the Privacy Policy.
- Other than personally identifiable information which relates to a living individual who can be identified from that information, which will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy, any material that you transmit or post to this Website will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. We will have no obligations with respect to such material. We will be free to copy, disclose, distribute, incorporate and otherwise use such material and all data, images, sounds, text and other things embodied therein for any and all commercial or non-commercial purposes.
General
- A waiver of any right under these Terms and Conditions is only effective if it is in writing and it applies only to the party to whom the waiver is addressed and the circumstances for which it is given.
- In the event that any provision of these Terms and Conditions is declared by any judicial or other competent authority to be void, voidable, illegal or otherwise unenforceable or indications of this are received by either of the parties from any relevant competent authority it may be severed from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall remain in full force and effect.
- These Terms and Conditions, and any document referred to herein, represent the entire agreement between datingdoubles and the Member for the provision of the services set out on the Website and supersede any prior agreement, understanding or arrangement between the parties, whether oral or in writing, in relation to the services. The Member acknowledges that, in entering into the contract with datingdoubles on these Terms and Conditions, that it has not relied upon any representation, undertaking or promise by datingdoubles or be implied from anything said or written between the parties prior to the contract being finalised, except as expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions. The Member shall have no remedy in respect of any untrue statement made by datingdoubles, whether orally or in writing, prior to the date of the contract (unless such untrue statement was made fraudulently) and the Member's only remedy shall be for breach of contract as provided in these Terms and Conditions.
- These Terms and Conditions are made for the benefit of the parties to it and (where applicable) their successors and permitted assigns and is not intended to benefit, or be enforceable by, anyone else who is not a party to it and the provisions of the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 shall not apply.
- These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the law of England and Wales. The parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the subject matter contained within the Terms and Conditions.

The Company makes every attempt to keep the content, including the information updated by other Members on this Website, as up-to-date as possible, but (in accordance with Clause 2) is under no obligation to do so.

However, because of the complex technology that is required in operating the Website there may be times when obvious errors occur.
